Weak Hero Class Season 2 Official Trailer (2025)

2022 was blessed with one of the most iconic High school action dramas of all time, Weak Hero Class! The drama was adapted from the web novel of the same name and was a massive hit but the ending left all of us on a cliffhanger, making us wonder whether Suhoo will remain alive and was Si Eun able to get his revenge back. So many things were left unsaid but don’t worry because director Park Dan Hee dropped the amazing news that they are coming back with a Season 2! Buckle up as we dive deep into all the details of season 2! 

Now at the end of Weak Hero Class Season 1, we saw that Suhoo was brutally beaten to the point he ended up in a coma when his own close friends Beom Seok and Woo Young hired someone to attack him. In the end, Si Eun hurt and dejected, attacked everyone involved who inflicted pain upon Suho but when he learned that their own best buddy, Beom Seok was the mastermind behind all these even though he was burning in the flames of revenge he couldn’t attack him and just left the spot. The ending was heartbreaking and left many wondering with the hungry question of what will happen next. Do they reconcile? Does Suho ever wake up? So many questions but nothing was answered apart from silence for years. But don’t be sad because Korean Media outlet OSEN and Netflix dropped the spectacular news that the second season is already on the way and the trailer of it honestly seems amazing. Okay now before delving deep into the matter deeply let us travel back in time to understand the plot of season 1 better as season 2 is interlinked! 

Season 1 of Weak Hero, centered around Yeon Si Eun, the ideal role model student who appears to be small and weak with stellar grades and is studious by nature, no one takes him seriously but Si Eun lurks a secret behind this stoic facade. He may appear weak but man has some strength when it comes to people being bullied or treated unjustly. Once he learns about the school’s delinquents and the students being treated poorly, Si Eun decides to take the matter under his control and hunts down every single person who are plain-out bully or delinquent. As the story unfolded, he ended up becoming good friends with Su Ho and Beom Seok. The three of them have the same goal, to save people and help them. They became close friends to the point they were brothers until Beom Seok decided to back off, and ended up mixing with the wrong circle of friends as he felt like he was being pushed aside, and he felt jealous seeing the proximity between Su Ho and Si Eun. Also, when Su Ho tried to stop Beom Seok from not to beating his former bullies, it struck a chord in him and he started to feel like he didn’t belong with them. A change in heart comes and the fallout occurs.

 In the end, he ended up joining the delinquents and hired people to beat Su Ho to death. 

Now coming back to season 2 of Weak Hero Class season 2, prepare for the unexpected because director Park Dan Hee and writer You Su Min jolted down all of the fan theories and the probable ending that everyone has been dreaming of. Season 2 will follow the same ending as the webtoon but since it is a drama expect changes, Su Ho will finally wake up from the coma but will not have any memories of anyone, and Si Eun will try to confront Beom Seok once again. There will be a power play, family politics, and friendship rebounds will happen, but most of the wholesome aspects of the drama will be gone. Si Eun does end up forgiving Beom Seok but they never talk again. Beom Seok will become mentally unstable as the guilt of what he did will eat him alive every second. Si Eun will try his best to protect Su Ho from afar so no danger falls on him. He will keep his distance as Si Eun will end up developing this feeling that because of him all these happened, if only he had stayed quiet and was alone in his journey then this would have never happened in the first place. The burden and guilt will weigh him down.

Si Eun will transfer to a different school. A new character will come in called Baek Ji Na, who will be covered with tattoos and have a scary aurora around him. Now Baek Ji Na will be the main enemy of Si Eun in Season 2 so get ready for another epic battle as you will be gripping on your seat. Their confrontation and the intense fighting sessions will be breathtaking. Themes of gore, violence, moral values and the disturbing reality of the South Korean Education system everything will be explored so forget all the happy-go energy from the second season of Weak Hero, as it will not be everyone’s cup of tea! 

Now the cinematography of the drama will be shot in Itaewon and Haebangchon. While some scenes will be located at Kyung Hee University where famous Kdramas like Record Of Youth, and others were filmed. From other sources, it has been reported that, in other locations like outside Korea, European locations may be selected to make the intensity of the drama more dramatic, everyone loves a good background when action-based dramas are on the way right? 

For season 2 of Weak Hero Class, director Han Jun Hee stepped in, his well-known works include, D.P. and The Gifted Hands. There will be a recurring cast because without them the essence of the drama will be completely lost and no one will take such a huge risk. There will be additional new faces, Ryeoun, Bae Na Ra, Lee Min Jae, Lee Jun Young, and Choi Min Young. Some actors will make a special cameo, like Byeon Woo Seok, Jung Hae In and Hwang In Yeop are in talks to make a special entry, surely this will elevate the performance of the drama immensely. The drama will be aired on several different platforms, including Netflix, and other Korean channels. It will have a total of 8 episodes! 

Webtoon readers, get ready for the second season, and drama lovers your 3 years of waiting are finally becoming a reality! The wait is over, get ready because 2025 will be bringing a fresh new batch of amazing Kdramas and Weak Hero Class Season 2 is on the list. It will be released in January, and various artists will sing the OST of the new season adding an emotional layer to the whole drama and it will be emotional to see that sometimes, friendship fallout happens because of misunderstandings or not communicating one’s needs properly. 

Furthermore, it has also been announced that after the filming of the second season all the staff members, actors, and everyone will go out on a trip just like they did in January 2023, to Vietnam which was a 5-day 4-night trip. This shows that everyone in the set deeply values each other, no wonder why the actors and everyone got along so well!
