Korean actors have stolen our hearts with their amazing and fierce performances in multiple hit series and their on-screen chemistry has been top-notch, however, did you know that some of your favorite actors are actually Muslims in real life? Now this may come off as a surprise because religion is a sensitive matter in Korea and many actors rarely talk about it but these actors openly embraced their religion! 

Zayyan

A famous singer and dancer. Zayyan was born in 2000, in Indonesia. He is 24 years old. In 2019, Zayyan took part in the Indonesian Idol contest and later became a trainee under the South Korean boy band, XODIAC. His full name is Muhammad Rifki Fahri Zayyan. He is 5 ft 8 inches tall and has beautiful visuals! He is the lead vocalist and dancer in XODIAC, the group has a total of nine members and they debuted in 2023. Interesntgnly Zayyan is the only Muslim member in the group.

Manny better known as Xiao Dong Cheng. You will be shocked to know he was the first Muslim K-pop idol, born in China, he belongs to the Hui ethnicity. He is 23 years old and is part of the boy band group, VARSITY. The group will remind you of EXO, as VARSITY has Chinese and Korean members! Manny is the youngest in the group, and also the lead rapper. Now Manny's journey in the industry has been intriguing, before joining the K-pop realm, he was a model for a decade. 

Ayana Jihye Moon,

Moon is one of the most famous YouTubers and Muslim models across South Korea, she was born in 1988 and is currently 25 years old. She has a huge fanbase and has 3.5M on Instagram. Moon is an entrepreneur, author, and founder of the Ayana Foundation. On YouTubetube account, she mostly shares her vlogs with 647K followers. Moon has a partner and often does vlogs with him, his name is Aydin. 

Daud Kim. 

Daud Kim has been famous due to his life-changing story from being depressed as an artist and hopeless from the twists and turns of life, to his inspiring journey as a Muslim. He was born in 1992 and is 32 years old. Daud has 4.3M followers on Instagram and 6.44M subscribers on his YouTube. He has even built a masjid for the sake of all the Muslim brothers and sisters, showing genuine love and affection for Islam. 

Hamid Choi

You may have not heard about him much but Hamid Choi is a professor at Myongji University and is also the chairperson of the Korean Muslim Federation.

He is also the childhood best friend of the Hallyu icon, Lee Min Ho. Many fans and netizens believe that Jung Il Woo may be a Muslim which he is trying to hide. Aside from that, Il Woo is childhood best friends with, the Hallyu icon Lee Min Ho and he belongs to an affluent family, his father used to be a news anchor for KBS and his mother, Shim Youn Ok is a university professor, at Korean National University and did you know that she personally designed a handbook for Jung Il Woo while he was filming for the drama, Diary Of A Night Watchman. 

Jang Keun Suk, 

Keun Suk is better known for his roles in the hit series, A Korean Odyssey, You Are Beautiful, Decoy, and others. Many fans and netizens believe that Jang is a revert but has kept the matter hidden or away from the media. When Keun was asked about the rumors, he did not respond to them either.

Han Ga In

Also known as Kim Hyun Joo, she is better known for her roles in the hit drama series, The Moon Embracing The Sun, Mistress, Architecture 101 and others. It is reported a according to sources that she may be a muslim but is not open about the idea of revealing it yet. So Min from Love Next Door and Alchemy Of Souls, surely have been topping all charts with her versatile performance and amazing acting skills but a little fact check that, she may be a muslim! During interview times when the religious aspect question was asked she mostly tried to stay neutral or silent about it not giving a direct answer.
