Move To Heaven Season 2 (2025) Official Trailer Released Return With Lee Je Hoon, Kim Go Eun & Hong Seung Hee

In 2021, the hit Netflix series Move To Heaven became one of the best mental health-related Kdramas, portraying the concept of the mental disorder Asperger’s in the most beautiful way. It was praised immensely for its unique plotline and the importance of appreciating the small things in life. Critics and Kdrama fans loved it, and it has become a global sensation, and just like that, Netflix decided to bring back this legendary Kdrama with an exciting second season. 

Director Kim Sung Ho and writer Yoon Ji Ryun, alongside Netflix, recently decided that Move To Heaven deserves a second season because fans and audiences loved it immensely, and it has been years since everyone has been relishing the memories of this drama with a heavy heart. After 5 long years, get ready because S2 will be more dramatic and emotional, with stories that will well up your eyes with tears. It will be aired around May 2025, with a total of 12 episodes. The 2 episodes will be special, and there will be new characters and more heartwrenching stories, We will also get to see new cast members, along with recurring leads and fresh cinematographies, which will keep all of us entertained till the end. Before diving into the sweet treat, let us revisit the golden memories of Move To Heaven S1 and how some elements will be linked to the second season! 

Move To Heaven, the Netflix series, delved into the bittersweet world of trauma cleaning service, which is dedicated to organizing and cleaning the belongings of the deceased person. The story centers around Han Geu Ru, played by Tang Jun Sang. he is a careful man with Asperger’s syndrome and struggles to do basic social interactions but tries his best. After Han Ge Ru’s father suddenly passes away, his uncle Cho Sang Gu, portrayed by actor Lee Je Hoon, becomes Han Geu’s guardian, and the two of them work together in their family cleaning service, Move To Heaven. Each episode of the drama was filled with new cases, which showcased how pain varies from person to person. The concepts of heartbreak, mental illness, and unfulfilled dreams and wishes, along with painful memories and trauma, were presented in the most beautiful way ever. As the series proceed we saw, that Geu Ru and Sng Gu struggled in their owny way, with their loss and trauma, especially Geu Ru, the loss of his father was deeply embedded in his mind and remember in the ending of the series, Sang Gu became Han Geu Ru’s permanent guardian, and they bonded well, handled the family business even though it was a messy start at the beginning. The ending scene was painful and tear-jerking because Geu Ru finally decided to part with his father’s ashes, while his heart didn’t want to let go that easily, but all things must come to an end, you know. 

Now, coming back to the second season of Move To Heaven, it will be of the same plotline, and there will be new cases in each and every episode. The most important part in the second season will be, Geu Ru’s amazing transformation as an indiviaul, as a son and as a man, he will view the world differently and accept the loss of his father in the most graceful way ever which will be heartwarming to see and his uncle, Sang Gu will be there to support him and love his niece to the fullest. Another twist will be, Geu Ru’s father’s side family members will try to reach out, and show love and affection but Geu Ru will not receive it well, most likely there will be elements of resentment and pain which will be a new range of emotions Ru will need to learn to deal with. Now the surprising and cute part will be, Geu Ru will fall in love for the first time, with someone special, the girl will be ordinary but for him she will mean the world!  Geu Ru’s uncle and his friends and some of his family members will tease him to the core, it will be funny and emotional to see how he will confess to her and how their love life will proceed. It has also been speculated that there will be a particularly interesting episode with a unique and complex case that will be extraordinary and emotionally tear-jerky, so you'd better prepare those tissues! There will be themes of real-life elements and painful moments, and a little bit of the romantic side will be explored, then hilarious jokes and funny events will make all of us laugh to the core, and honestly, Netflix Kdrama series have always been best known for quality, so expect the best outcome from the second season because director and writer promised to deliver something exceptional! 

There will be moments of uncertainty, and we may get to see Geu Ru having a clash with his uncle Sang Gu! Where Geu Ru will say hurtful things and the loss of his father will still overshadow him, the emorionsl will spiral, it will be a heated argument, so get ready for tension too! 

Moving on, the second season will have a new list of cast members, which will be refreshing to see in many ways. It has been reported that, we may get to see, Park Bo Gum, Kim Soo Hyun, Lee Jung Jae and others, who will bring versatility and their own personal stories and trauma according to the script and as well know already they are the masters of delivering gut-wrenching emotional performance, like It’s Okay Not To Be Okay, Empress Ki, Squid Game and other series. The last 2 episodes will be particularly interesting because they will bring some emotional performances! There will be recurring cast members, Lee Je Hoon, Tang Jun Sang, and others, because without them, the essence of the drama would be completely lost. There will be new locations like Namsan Tower, Jeju Island, Busan, and other places, including the Bukchon Hanok Village. These new scenarios will add more emotional touch to everyone’s storyline and it will be worthwhile to watch it! 

Also did you know that Move To Heavn was inspired by Things Left Behind by Kim Sae-Byul who was a real life trauma cleaner, which is why the drama Move To Heaven was able to deliver such an exceptional performance, to the point it received top three awards, including Asian Academy Creative Awards, The 3rd Asian Contents Awards and APAN Star Awards. The second season of Move To Heaven will break down all the viewership ratings of the previous season and will serve something fresh and refreshing, which will keep us glued, and who know,s they may even win the Baeksang Arts Awards too. 

Aside from all these, we will get a separate talk show series! Netflix will arrange it especially. Likewise, we have previously seen the cast members, enjoying and laughing to their hearts content at the Netflix couch talk or Jenga series, this time it will be the same but difference will be, it will be like a talk show, yes quizzes will be there, and Kim Soo Hyun, Ji Chang Wook they will share their inspiration life journey stories which will be amazing to see and definitely will keep the mood of the series.
